MIA RUNWAY ALEPH GEM-48 ALEPH
First immersive and amazing experience with the new Runway features during Gen:48 Aleph Edition.
With Gino Carranza we created MIA, a 90-sec short: a café built on an old train station, a young woman trapped in a timeless loop of farewells, using a world flicker between realities (inciting incident), a time traveler archetype, and a single location over different eras.
Everything built from scratch with our input + imagination — no existing footage in collaboration with artificial intelligence.
It was inspiring, eye-opening, and transformative — discovering that AI filmmaking is not about replacing teams, but about nourishing it with our collective knowledge, experience, and creativity across multidisciplinary peers — making the tool stronger while keeping the heart of storytelling alive.
